Riding holidays for children

The riding holidays of Hafnersholt take place in the summer holidays.

They start on Monday at 10.00  a.m. and come to an end after the „riding games“ on Saturday at about 3 p.m.
All girls and boys at the age of at least eight can take part. The ability to ride is not necessary, but every child should be accustomed to animals and interested in the every-day life on a ranch. At 8.30 a.m. we are having breakfast and afterwards the morning lessons start.

According to the previous experience the children have riding lessons once or twice a day either in small groups on the oval riding-arena or they have lungeing lessons and get used to working with a horse in a playful way. For the advanced participants we also offer rides in the country-side. In addition to two qualified riding instructors, two assistants who take care of the children before and after the riding lessons and a cook look after the children.

Besides riding different activities are offered (table tennis, tabletop soccer, pottery etc.) and on Saturdays the final highlight „the riding games“ take place, in which every child is invited to take part with their favourite horse.

The children are put up in the houseboat „Augusta“, which offers enough room for eight children. Moreover there are two caravans for three to four persons and the „Fisher’s hut“ at the pond. In the saddle-room you can find a shower and a toilet.
Meals are served in the saloon or, if the weather is nice, at the big table in front of the courtyard. If your child is a vegetarian, please state this in the registration and do not forget to provide your child appropriately with clothes and with a sleeping bag.

Wearing a riding cap is necessary for all participants, but it is possible to borrow or purchase them on the ranch. You can also provide your child with a small pocket money for special wishes at your own discretion. The number of participants is limited to 15. Please register on time with the provided form.

The price for six days is € 420,-.
The registration becomes valid by paying a deposit of € 150,-.
